Neither Alone, Nor Leaving Others Alone
(2025-, on going )
English / 日本語
I have long been drawn to the presence of trees. Looking closely at the roots of ancient giants, it is said that a subterranean network of "intelligence" weaves through the earth beneath them. Interconnected through mycorrhizal fungi, these trees share nourishment and knowledge, forging a web of strength capable of enduring countless trials.
In a modern world that prioritizes efficiency and individualism, we often bear solitude and struggle to find our sense of worth—a plight compounded by the relentless rise of social media and AI. Yet, these silent giants whisper a profound truth: true strength in an uncertain age comes not from standing isolated, but from sharing a rich, mutual reliance.
As we face an age of loneliness and lost identity, what ought we to carry forward into the future? Perhaps by turning away from our screens to engage in sincere, heartfelt dialogue with those before us, we might find a way to reclaim the warmth of genuine connection.
